Kane Property Services (KPS) were approached to undertake a cost plan on planned refurbishment and upgrade works at the existing Regis Aged Care site at The Gap. After full scope was determine, KPS provided a fully itemised cost plan in which the client could add or reduce scope to meet the desired budget. After some value managing, KPS were engaged to deliver the new works.
The project is separated into two distinct areas, being the ground floor entry expansion and reconfiguration, and also upgrades to all 134 residents rooms across the site. The ground floor works include new finishes to reception, a new Café with outdoor covered dining space, hair salon, sales office and Facility Managers office. The room refurbishments include new finishes to the existing bathroom layouts, new floor vinyl, joinery, lighting and paint.
The project is currently underway. Rooms will be delivered over a staged approach, with four at a time to minimise loss of facility availability. The ground floor works is also being delivered in a stage manner to allow full operation of the facility without loss of current offerings or services.
